So much more beautiful than the picture. It’s a present but really considering one for myself!!
I was so very excited to buy this set. TOG is my Roman Empire in fantasy and I absolutely love the books…
However upon arrival I noticed several things about the books that seriously just made me so sad, the hardbacks were almost as if they were used. The spines were flimsy. There were so many scratches and dents in the books and so much overspray.
Also the edges are blurry to the point where you can’t really see certain areas in the image. How these are called special edition is honestly a surprise to me. What is being sold as “perfect” is what other book boxes and companies sell as imperfect books. Even some of the edges are uneven causing more overspray.
What made me even more upset is how my situation was handled by customer service, being told that they have a disclaimer stating that dents and scratches are a part of this set. Then maybe don’t charge the insane amount you do. It’s ridiculous and I will never purchase from this company again, which is so sad because the photos they advertise are beautiful… I just wish the products would come out the same way….
Now I’m stuck with a set of books I can’t even try to re-sell cause they don’t look perfect.
Maybe one day I’ll try again but it would be a risk knowing now what they pass as “quality special editions”
I do not recommend buying these books.
Hi, love this book set! I have multiple sets from you and they’re all amazing. The only thing I would add to your sets are designed end papers. It would up the value, but otherwise you have amazing products. Keep up the good work :)

I completely fell in love with Caraval earlier this year, so as soon as I saw this set was coming out, I knew I had to have it! It is completely perfect. The ends are gorgeous, and the dust jackets are so stunning. It will hold a place of pride on my trophy shelf forever!

These books came as a surprise from my boyfriend and I absolutely adore them and they are one of my prized possessions, but unfortunately they did arrive pretty scratched up- especially ACOSF which is sad because that’s my favorite book in the series thus far! The cover art on the back of that one is especially beautiful but Nesta being all scratched up is a huge bummer! Gorgeous work- just needed quality control on this set!

I was not prepared for how pretty these copies of Caraval were going to be. As someone who has multiple special editions of Caraval, I am pleased with how they look.
Omg the quality of these books and the color and art. It makes me want to reread this series.

The set is beautiful but I’m disappointed that the foiling on the spines of one of the books rubbed off on the bottom of the box. I wish the books were wrapped better or something was put on the bottom of the box to protect them better. Otherwise beautiful set. I’m so happy to add it to my collection.
